INVESTING IN COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING (ICET)

Shepparton ACE College has been successful in our application for funding ‘Better Future for our Youth’, under the Australian Government’s Investing in Community Education and Training (ICET) program.

This initiative is part of the nation- building infrastructure package to support Australia’s economy. The ICET program recognizes the important role that community education and training providers play in supporting productivity in Australia, though stimulating the economy by supporting jobs, whilst also investing in skilling Australia for a productive future.

‘Better Future for our Youth’ will provide a new modern learning environment for young people in our region who have experienced difficulties in learning, to gain appropriate literacy, numeracy, work ready skills and formally recognised VET qualifications.

The new building, situated in Karibok Park, Rowe Street Shepparton is a SouthernVale Home design and will be technologically progressive with interactive whiteboards and wireless computer systems. The building will demonstrate to students a commitment to sustainability with a suitable solar power array, full insulation and the saving of rain water. It is hoped that our use of technology will enthuse our students to seek out careers in the ever-changing face of the technological revolution.

All at Shepparton ACE College are looking forward with excitement to the progress and completion of this wonderful new facility.
